At Talan Americas, we believe that businesses have a major role to play in the fight against climate change. Our ISO 14001 certifications, obtained through an effective environmental management system, along with our Ecovadis Platinum certification, are just the beginning of our commitment. We regularly implement concrete initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and raise employee awareness of environmental issues.

Environmental Awareness: A Continuous Effort

Mobility represents a significant part of our environmental impact. That’s why we strive to promote public transport and eco-friendly travel options:

Public Transit Incentive Program: Talan Americas covers part of the public transit subscription costs for its employees at the Montreal headquarters.
Flexible Remote Work: Our regular use of remote work reduces commuting while maintaining team cohesion. These initiatives are aligned with our goal to reduce CO2 emissions related to work-related travel.

Throughout our common areas and intranet, we set up informational displays that evolve year-round based on environmental news.

Workshops to Take Actions

Beyond passive awareness, we want to equip our employees with the tools to act. Two awareness workshops are offered within Talan Americas:

The Climate Fresk :

A collaborative workshop that helps our teams understand climate change mechanisms, causes, and consequences, linking them to human activities. By visualizing cause-and-effect relationships, participants better grasp the complexity and urgency of climate issues and necessary transformations.

The 2tonnes Workshop :

This immersive simulation allows participants to project themselves into 2050 and experiment with low-carbon transition scenarios to limit global warming. Each person identifies the most effective personal and collective action levers to reduce their carbon footprint, helping everyone recognize the necessary efforts.

Our ambitious goal: to raise awareness among at least 50% of our employees by the end of 2025 through these workshops.
